Q. Who provides the cover?
A. This Insurance is underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Plc and administered by FirstAssist Insurance Services Limited. The Insurance is arranged by Primary Travel Insurance Services on behalf of FirstAssist Insurance Services Ltd.
Primary Travel Insurance is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Firm No. 309647.
Q. What about regulation?
A. If your business is a travel agent then you are exempt from the Financial Services Authority. If your business is not a Travel Agent and you are authorised and regulated under the Financial Services Authority in your own right and that authorisation ceases, you must notify Primary Travel Insurance Services immediately and not sell any policies from the point when authorisation ceases.
Q. Does it cost me anything to use this service?
A. No, this service is completely free of charge.
Q. Can I buy a travel insurance policy, if I do not live in the UK?
A. No. You must be a resident in the UK. To be a resident of a country, your main home must be in that country and you must not have lived abroad for more than six months in the last year.
Q. Can I buy a travel insurance policy, if I have a British passport, but am currently working overseas?
A. Yes, if your main home is still in the UK and you have not have been abroad for more than six months in the last year.
Q. Are there any policy exclusions and conditions?
A. Yes. A specimen policy document, containing full details of cover and any exclusions and conditions which apply is available to view and print in the Policy Documentation menu.
Q. Is there a "Cooling Off Period"
A. Yes. There is a 14 day Cooling Off Period. If after reading the policy, you are not satisfied with it for any reason you can cancel the policy as long as a claim does not exist and that travel has not taken place. Please refer to policy wording for details.
Q. What is the full definition of Europe?
The continent of Europe west of the Ural Mountains, Madeira, Canary Islands, Iceland, the Azores, Mediterranean Islands and non-European countries bordering the Mediterranean (excluding Algeria, Israel, Lebanon and Libya).
Q. Who is eligible to take out Travel Insurance?
A. UK residents aged up to 75 for Single Trips and 65 for Annual Multi Trips.
Q. Can our client's take out Travel Insurance if they have any existing medical conditions?
Q. Can children in full-time education be covered under a family policy?
A. Yes, if living at the family home, children up to and including age 17 in full-time education can be covered.
Q. Can children travel independently on Annual Multi-Trip policies?
A. No, they would need to take out an individual policy for any independent holiday.
Q. Does the Annual Multi-Trip World Wide policy cover winter sports?
A. Yes if this option is selected and the appropriate additional premium is paid. 24 days of cover is included.
Q. Does this policy cover Golf Cover?
A. Yes, if the option has been selected and the appropriate additional payment has been paid. Please refer to policy wording for definition and breakdown of cover.
Q. Does this policy cover Business Cover?
